Around the World DTS

On June 23rd 2014 I headed to Denver, CO to start a Discipleship Training School (DTS) through Youth With A Mission (YWAM). The program, which I was so blessed to be a part of, is called the Around the World (ATW) DTS. The first two months were spent in Denver studying God’s word, learning about His love, examining our current relationship with Him, developing that relationship, and preparing for the missions field. The next three months were spent traveling to six different places all over this planet, serving God and serving others, by sharing His love and all we learned during the lecture phase of the program. The nations we visited were: Guatemala, Hungary, France, South Africa, Nepal, and Hong Kong. Throughout this amazing journey I kept a blog documenting my adventures and the wonderful things God taught me along the way. The original web address is: http://www.karatechoppingandscubadivingwithgod.blogspot.com

On this site I have organized my DTS blogposts in order. Here, anyone who is thinking of starting their own YWAM adventure can read about someone else’s experience first. Hopefully from reading my account, potential DTS students will feel better prepared and even more excited! This was the most amazing and fruitful time of my whole life. During lecture phase God revealed so many incredible things to me about His own character and about myself. Then during outreach, there were three months when I wasn’t focused on the silly selfish mundane everyday stuff I normally stress about. Instead, each day was a new day to ask God what He was doing in these incredible different places and in the lives of so many beautiful different people. Ask, listen, obey, serve, love, grow.

Anyone who has been wanting to put aside time to just learn more about God, learn more about themselves, and learn more about missions should do a DTS! I definitely recommend doing DTS if you feel like God is calling you to do one! If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at: chellejeanne316@gmail.com.
